As predicted, Nigeria concluded the Group Stage round of the 2023 FIFA Women World Cup with a 0-0 draw vs Ireland. With the one point gained, Nigeria secured their spot to advance to the Knockout stage next week. Nigeria will face the Winner of Group D, which currently is England. Chiamaka Nnadozie, Nigeria’s Goalkeeper, was named Player of the Match for her dominant performance protecting the goal. This included a huge save on a penalty kick from Canadian’s star Christine Sinclair in the 51st minute.
